A red dot appears on a tile when that app gets a notification. You set it up once with a Shortcuts automation, and it needs iOS 27.

Reach a person in one tap

Add someone once, with their number and usernames. Then pick the ways you want when you put them in a group: call, message, FaceTime, WhatsApp, Telegram. Each can be its own tile, or all of them can gather into one folder.

Export and import

Export your whole layout to a single file, then import it on another device. iCloud sync is now on by default with Pro, and tells you when your storage is full.

• Tags for apps too. You could tag groups. Now you can tag apps as well, and filter the library by tag. Tags work apart from groups, so one app can carry as many as you like.
• The library filter, rebuilt. Filter the library by kind, app, website, shortcut, person, or by the tags you gave it. One button per axis, and when a filter finds nothing the buttons stay put, so there is always a way back.
• Pick what you're adding. The three-tab sheet is gone. In its place, a grid showing what kind of tile you can make: app, website, shortcut, person, or one you enter yourself.
• Move folders between groups. Move a sub-folder to another group, or copy it. Everything inside goes with it.
• Mark tiles. Place an emoji or a symbol on its own. It opens nothing and is there to mark the widget it sits on.
• Fixes and improvements. Deleted data no longer comes back from iCloud, icons are sharp in the large layout, changing an app's icon now updates it inside sub-folders too, and an empty group tells you what to do next.
